Lean Hogs Mixed

Monday's USDA hog slaughter was 434,000 head versus a year ago at 413,000 head. Lean Hogs Futures traded choppy. Market talk about the USDA Monthly Cold Storage report due out later today and the USDA Pig Crop report on Friday kept both buyers and sellers active on Monday.

April Hogs traded back and forth and ended the day higher at 59.17, up 0.72. June Hogs traded on both sides of unchanged and set new contract lows during the trading session. June Hogs were trading at 73.65, down 0.17.
