Corn Little Changed

Corn futures are trading steady Friday morning. September Corn is trading at 429, up 1/4 cent and December Corn is trading at 439 1/4, up 1/4 of a cent.

Market talk about too much rain in portions of the corn belt continues. The USDA is scheduled to release its monthly crop production report today at 12:00 p.m. ET. Trading is expected to be very choppy.

On Thursday the USDA reported that weekly corn export sales were 684,200 tons. New crop sales are down 24 percent versus a year ago. Market talk that Brazil corn production may be higher than previously thought is making the rounds. Chatter about less than stellar crop conditions in France was seen as supportive. Ukrainian production estimates have been volatile. Market talk that a couple of cargoes of Brazilian corn is headed for North Carolina has led to some selling on rallies.
