April business inventories were just released, and they came in worse than expected. Economists were expecting a reading of 0.9%, and it came in at 0.8%. Stocks are higher after the number. The Dow is up 116 points, the S&P 500 is up 14 points, and the NASDAQ is up 31 points.

December wholesale inventories were released and they were higher than expected. Wholesale inventories rose 1% in December, up from estimates of 0.75%. November inventories were revised to flat, from -0.2%.
